Refund policy

I'm Here Now is sold as online reading access. Because the whole book is available the moment you open it, sales are final once the book has been opened.

You will get a full refund if:

you paid but the book never opened for you, and we can't fix it;
you were charged more than once for the same purchase; or
you were charged without making the purchase yourself.

To ask for a refund, email shawn@culleyworks.com within 30 days of the charge with the email address you used at checkout. Refunds go back to the original card through Stripe and usually show up within 5 to 10 business days. If you have a problem with a charge, please email us first. We answer every message.

Terms of use

Who sells it. Books on this site are sold by Culley Works LLC, a Texas limited liability company. Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your card number.
What you're buying. One payment gives you personal, lifetime access to read the book online at culleyworks.com. It is not a download and not a subscription. You don't own the copyright; the book stays the property of its author.
Your access is yours. After you buy, you get a personal link that opens the book on your other devices. Please don't share it publicly or resell access. Links that are clearly being shared widely may be switched off.
Codes. Some codes give free access and some only tell us who recommended the book to you. A code can be withdrawn at any time. A creator code does not change your price.
About the book. I'm Here Now is a memoir. It is the author's own memory and perspective of real events, told as honestly as he can. Some names have been changed. Others may remember things differently.
Copying. Please don't copy, republish or share the text of the book beyond short quotes for review or discussion.
Availability. We work to keep the site running, but it may sometimes be unavailable for maintenance or reasons outside our control. If you can't get into a book you paid for, email us and we'll make it right.
Changes. We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version. The terms in place when you bought apply to your purchase.
Law. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas.

Privacy

We keep as little as we can.

When you buy: Stripe handles your payment and gives us your email address, the amount and the date. We use your email only for your purchase and to answer you if you write to us. We don't sell it, share it, or send newsletters.
The reader map: when you get access, we look up the approximate city your internet connection comes from and put a dot there on the public map. The dot is rounded to about 11 km (7 miles) and is not linked to your name, email or purchase. Because it comes from your connection, it can be off, for example if you use a VPN. Want your dot removed? Email us.
Cookies: one cookie keeps you signed in to the book. The reading page also saves your place, text size and light/dark choice in your own browser. There is no advertising or tracking cookie.
Codes: if you used a creator's code, we record which code so that creator can be paid their share. They don't receive your name or email.
Other services: the site is hosted by Cloudflare, payments go through Stripe, and the map uses OpenStreetMap tiles. Each handles basic technical data, such as your IP address, under its own privacy policy.
